    Description

    Masterfully Constructed Unique Folk Art Wood Wall Storage / Decoration Made from 19th Century Solid Maple Dough Bowl and a Piece of a Maple Table Top.  Adorned with a DUTCH 6 Point Star, reminiscent of Star Anise. READY TO HANG - Made by my great grandpa ca. early 1930's.
    Never to waste anything he took a broken dough bowl and harvested a piece of maple from an unusable 19th century maple table to make this BEAUTIFUL wall storage piece.  This is what folk art is all about!  It's VERY useful for all sorts of things, from keys, candies, mail, fruit, etc. etc. It's been used in various rooms of the house, but it's time for a new home now.
    Please see the close-ups; this is old, 19th century almost an inch thick, tight grained antique wood that is truly stunning.  I can't imagine what wood like this would cost nowadays; that is if you could find it.
