Rare Antique Primitive Metal Spiked Hunting Dog Collar Wolf Bear Protection

This is for a neat old metal spiked collar used for hunting dogs and or perhaps sheep herder dogs to protect their throats and face from wolf, bear, wild boar, or any wild animal attacks. I am not sure of the age but looks very primitive. It has 6 groups of 4 spikes, and the spikes are wicked. The collar has a buckle clasp that is hooked and unhooked by squeezing the collar onto a hook.  It was very rusty, so to help preserve it, we sandblasted the rust off and then put linseed oil put on to help to keep it from rusting any more. It is old and primitive so will show signs of wear and some  surface pitting from the rust, a couple of slight bends in a couple of spike tips, but there are no breaks or rust that had gone through. Please look at pictures for more on condition and ask any questions before bidding. It measures approx. 10” across the spikes and the neck collar portion is approx. 6 ¼” across.
