Description
This primitive earthenware pie pan has green and white glaze with a white slip glaze design. It came from the estate of a very old woman in Northern Virginia, and she didn't have much in her kitchen but she had this. I can't figure out the maker and it's not signed. It's obviously old. It measures 10" in diameter and 2" high. The rim has lots of tiny chips and one fingertip size chip. The outside edge has a green band and you can see the stroke lines from the rag or sponge used to wipe it on. The bottom is unglazed. I'd be happy to answer any questions about this, and would love it if someone could identify it for me. Very few stoneware pieces have the green glaze and so I'm curious. This will be wrapped careful and shipped USPS Priority Mail. Or, free local pickup near Washington DC.
