    Description

    This hook was found in 1980 while looking for pieces of the Ning Po during an extremely low tide in Catalina Harbor. It was found, elbow deep, in the soil that made up the bottom where the pirate ship, Ning Po, vanished after she was pillaged and burned.
    How it got there is anyone's guess. I'd like to think one of the Chinese pirates aboard the Ning Po lost it over the side during a battle with drunken tourists trying to board her to take selfies.
    Or...maybe it's not.
