    Here is a nice 19th century, pre 1900 in date sailor made book shaped matchbox in good original condition. The oxbone and silver surface has a nice patina from age. On the front is a hand made silver initial and the small lid opens and closes. The lid is slightly loose from age and use. On the side is a striker surface which can be also seen in the photos. Originally from Leith docks, Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. Measuring 1.6 inches long and 1.1 inches wide
