    Description
Here is a nice 18th century, pre 1900 in date sailor made rum shot cup in good original condition. This would have been made using a primitive lathe onboard a ship which were also used for making sailor's fids, folk art, belaying pins, tool handles etc as items were lost and broken during sea voyages. The oxbone surface has a nice patina from age with an age split on one side. Originally from Leith docks, Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. Measuring 2.3 inches high and 1.2 inches wide
