STRAIGHT FROM AN OLD AND IMPORTANT CONNECTICUT COLLECTION OF EARLY FURNITURE.
A FANTASTIC WILLIAM AND MARY EARLY 18TH CENTURY CONNECTICUT 4 SLAT LADDER BACK ARMCHAIR WITH ORIGINAL CARVED ARMS AND SHAPED HAND HOLDS AND EXTREMELY FINE ELONGATED CLOTHESPIN STYLE FINIALS ALL IN THE VERY BEST AND STILL BRIGHT ORIGINAL SALMON RED PAINTED SURFACE.
THIS GREAT CHAIR WAS MADE IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CONNECTICUT, CIRCA 1720-1740.
A KILLER OF AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY LADDERBACK ARMCHAIR IN UNTOUCHED ORIGINAL SALMON PAINT.
THE CHAIR IS IN REMARKABLE CONDITION WITH THE ONLY LOSS BEING AN OLD REPLACED RUSH SEAT
THE SURFACE IS THE BEST.
OLD AND GRUNGY, IT IS THE BEST SALMON PAINTED SURFACE YOU WILL FIND. IT HAS THE BEST PATINA WITH 300 YEARS OF WEAR AND TEAR.
THIS IS THE TYPE OF CHAIR YOU PUT NEAR THE HEARTH AND ADMIRE IT.
THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE SURVIVOR THAT IS IN NEARLY PERFECT CONDITION.
IT STILL RETAINS EVERY ORIGINAL COMPONENT (except the rush seat). THE FEET ARE ORIGINAL AND FULLY INTACT, WITH NO LOSSES. THE FINIALS AND SLATS ARE PERFECT AS WELL. EVERY ORIGINAL WOODEN PIN IS INTACT AND ORIGINAL.
This great chair stands 48 1/2" TALL. The seat height is a full 18" .
