    Description

    Antique Primitive Turned Treen Wood Keep Box Two Compartment Spice Box.
    Handmade, hand turned,  handpainted screw on lid keep, stash box or spice container.
    c. mid 1800s
    Lid has a pinwheel flower pattern spreading outward from the center.  Sides are exquisitely designed with a leaf-like pattern.
    Black on brown, then lacquered.
    Top compartment has a lid which screws on.  Bottom compartment has loosened over time.  It fits snugly,  but no longer twists on and off.
    Amazingly good condition with a bit of chippiness around inner top.  The finish is holding up well with wear consistent with age.
