This is an early wooden letter from a sign. The original gold gilt has very little age-wear. On the left hand side corner there was a piece of wood splintered and it was painted over early on (look at the picture of it on its side and you can almost see the wood grain - you don't notice it looking at it straight on).  It measures 13.75 inches in height by 13.75 inches in width and 2 inches in depth. It was attached to the sign by 3 'posts' - and now has a sawtooth hanger on the back for hanging. This is a great addition to any primitive/country/farmhouse collection.
