    FRESH TO THE MARKET, A FANTASTIC EARLY 19TH CENTURY WATCH HUTCH IN WALNUT WITH ITS ORIGINAL HIGHLY SCROLLED TOP AND BOTTOM CRESTS.
    A WONDERFUL EARLY 19TH CENTURY - FEDERAL PERIOD CARVED HANGING WATCH HOLDER OR WATCH HUTCH IN WALNUT WITH EXTREMELY FINE SCROLLED TOP AND BOTTOM CRESTS.
    IT HAS A REMOVABLE SLIDING FRONT LID AND THE CASE HAS HAND CUT DOVETAILS.
    NEW ENGLAND OR NEW YORK, CIRCA 1800-1830 IN WALNUT IN OLD ORIGINAL STAIN AND VARNISH WITH GREAT COLOR AND SURFACE.
    IT ALSO STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL GREEN FELT ON THE BACK TO PROTECT THE WATCH CASE.
    These miniature watch holders were used to hold a POCKET WATCH when not in use. The watch would be hung in the box and would function not only a safe place for the watch but as a Timepiece for the home. In the 18th and 19th Centuries clocks were very expensive and most families did not own them, most men however would try and have at least a pocket watch to help tell the time.
    The CONDITION is wonderful.
    THERE ARE NO DAMAGES OR REPAIRS just the typical surface wear you would expect.
    This great watch hutch is 8 1/2" tall, 3" wide and 2 1/2" deep.
    IT TAKES A WATCH UP TO 1 5/8" ACROSS
