    AN EXTREMELY FINE MASSACHUSETTS QUEEN ANNE SIDE CHAIR WITH A FULLY DEVELOPED AND SCROLLED QUEEN ANNE CREST, A CURVED AND CARVED CENTER SPLAT AND DEEP TURNED BLOCK LEGS WITH ITS ORIGINAL FRONT CARVED SPANISH FEET ALL IN AN OLD STAINED AND VARNISHED SURFACE.
    ALL MAPLE AND ASH, PROBABLY NORTH SHORE AREA OF BOSTON, MA AREA, Circa 1720-1740.
    A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF A VERY RARE FORM IN NICE OLD COLOR.
    THIS IS AN EXTREMELY BOLD CHAIR WITH VERY EARLY HAND CAVED SPANISH PAW TYPE FEET THAT ARE ALL ORIGINAL AND FULL HEIGHT.
    THE CONDITION OF THIS CHAIR IS NEAR PERFECT.
    THE LATE 19TH CENTURY RUSH SEAT IS STILL INTACT AND IN NICE CONDITION.
    THE SURFACE HAS NICE OLD COLOR AND PATINA.
    A NICE STRONG CHAIR THAT CAN BE USED DAILY.
    This great chair stands a full 39 3/4" tall. The seat height is 17 1/4" and is 20" across.
    Typical wear associated with the age of the item.
    There are two old vintage iron braces put on under the seat to the back posts. There is nothing broken, this was a common addition in the 1940-1950's to tighten the chair. I removed (and replaced it back) one to make sure there was no damages, everything is strong and tight without them so you could remove them it you wanted to but they are pretty much invisible.
